Gary Yukl received his Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a Professor of Management at UAlbany (SUNY). Dr.. Dr. Yukl is also the author of several books, including the highly influential text, Leadership in Organizations, 8th edition (Prentice-Hall, 2013) which is widely used around the world and was translated into several languages. Dr. Yukl has received several awards for his research, and he is the recipient of two lifetime achievement awards, including the 2007 Walter Ulmer Applied Research Award from the Center for Creative Leadership, and the 2011 Eminent Leadership Scholar Award from the Academy of Management Network of Leadership Scholars. He has consulted with a wide variety of business and public-sector organizations and has designed a variety of leadership development programs for them.
