Hedwig Beernaert graduated from the State University of Ghent in 1967 as Master in Analytical Chemistry and from the Free University of Brussels in 1989 as Master in Business Administration. He is Deputy Administrator of the ASBL NUBEL and is involved in the EuroFIR Network of Excellence concerning the development of a European Consortium for Food Composition Databases. He is author and co-author of several peer-reviewed papers and of more than 300 GLP inspection and assessment reports.
