John Child MA, PhD, ScD, FBA is Professor Emeritus at the University of Birmingham and a Professor at FUMEC University, Brazil. His current interests include the internationalization of SMEs and alternative forms of organization. He has published 19 books and over 140 articles in journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, Organization Science and Strategic Management Journal. His recent books include Cooperative Strategy (with David Faulkner and Stephen Tallman, Oxford University Press 2005), Organization (Blackwell 2005), and Corporate Co-evolution (with Suzana Rodrigues, Wiley 2008). This last book won the prestigious Academy of Management Terry award in 2009. Professor Child is a past editor-in-chief of Organization Studies and is currently Senior Editor for Management and Organization Review.
