Biography

Andrew Turnbull is currently Director for Corporate Short Programmes (and formerly MBA programme director) in the Aberdeen Business School's Department of Communications, Media and Marketing. He joined The Robert Gordon University after 17 years in sales and marketing roles within blue chip organizations including Scottish & Newcastle Breweries plc, Grants... read moreof St. James and Wm Low & Co plc (supermarkets). His main teaching and research focus is on tourism and retail marketing and the marketing and entrepreneurship interface. In addition to a lengthy list of conference papers, he has written textbook case studies and had work published in the Journal of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, the Journal of Marketing Management and the Journal of Sustainable Tourism. Andrew has further provided marketing training for a variety of organizations, including British Airways, Shell, NATS, Madame Tussauds and the Abbey bank. He is currently on the National Executive of the UK Academy of Marketing and Chair of the Scottish Region. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Higher Education Academy and a council member for Scotland of the Marketing Society.
