John Trundle has been Chief Risk Officer of the Euroclear Group, which includes Euroclear Bank and central securities depositories in seven European countries, since 2005. He is also a member of the Board of Euroclear UK and Ireland. He previously held several positions at the Bank of England including head... read moreof the oversight of financial market infrastructure (that is of payment and settlement systems), head of business continuity, and Governor's private secretary to two Governors. He was a member of the Basel Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems and chaired the working group that produced the "Core Principles for Systemically Important Payment Systems". He has published articles and books on payment and settlement issues. John read economics at St Catharine's College Cambridge and has an MBA from the London Business School (which included a semester studying at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania). John is chairman of the UK charity Blind in Business.
