Biography

James R. Lupski is a Professor of Molecular and Human Genetics and Pediatrics and Vice Chairman of the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. He received his MD and PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from New York University and completed a residency in pediatrics and Fellowship in medical genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Lupski was awarded the Curt Stern Award by the American Society of Human Genetics in 2002 and the Barbara Bowman Outstanding Texas Geneticist Award in 2004. He served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Human Genetics from 2000-2002, is the American Editor of Neurogenetics, and serves on the editorial boards of The Annual Review of Genomics and Human Genetics, PathoGenetics, Genomic Medicine, The Application of Clinical Genetics, and Genome Research
