David G. Russell received his BSc from St. Andrews University in Scotland, and his PhD from Imperial College, London. He has held positions at the Max-Planck-Institüt in Tübingen, NYU Medical School, Washington University School of Medicine and, currently, Cornell University. He was made an Honorary Professor of Immunology at the Malawi College of Medicine in 2015. His work is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health, USA, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
