Abstract
Since 2019, the University of Nebraska Foundation (UNF) has been conducting an end-to-end redevelopment of its funds management systems. Through a collaborative approach with a consulting partner and key stakeholders, UNF examined every step in the life cycle of a donor fund and identified new tools and processes to deliver efficient and effective funds management practices that will support organisation growth into the future. This paper demonstrates the management of a large-scale and multi-year project, provide a framework for successful cross-team collaboration and provide examples of the tools needed to manage donor funds.

Author's Biography
Aaron Rouse is the Director of Fund Stewardship and Management at the University of Nebraska Foundation (UNF). In this role, he leads a team that manages over 11,000 active donor funds that provide crucial financial support to the University of Nebraska system and its four campuses. Aaron joined UNF in 2014 as a prospect information manager and moved into his current role in 2016. Before that, Aaron served as the Donor Relations Manager for Omaha Performing Arts during 2012–14 and as the Special Projects Assistant and Assistant Director of Development at the Hastings College Foundation during 2008–12. In addition to his work at UNF, Aaron is a long-time volunteer with the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). He has spoken at numerous CASE conferences, been part of many conference planning committees and currently serves as the chair for CASE District VI. Aaron graduated from Hastings College (Neb.) in 2008 with a BA in business administration and human services administration and later earned his MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2010.
