Author's Biography

Bill James is Enterprise Strategy Director for Creditsafe. With over 15 years’ experience in finance, risk management and data analytics, Bill understands exactly what enterprise businesses should be thinking about as they build their corporate growth and risk strategies. Prior to joining Creditsafe in 2021, he spent six years at Dun & Bradstreet as Area Vice President of Finance Solutions and Third-Party Risk & Compliance. Credit risk and international trade are two areas that are near and dear to Bill’s heart. One thing he is especially proud of during his career is that he created a days sales outstanding (DSO) calculator that account managers could use to help clients reduce this metric and improve their cash flow. With such extensive experience in both finance and risk management, Bill has become a sought-after speaker at industry conferences, including USC’s Marshall School of Business Supply Chain Excellence Summit, NACM events, Caterpillar Conference, CFO Conference as well as multiple Credit Research Foundation (CRF) Forums.
