Abstract

Author's Biography
Richard W. Kroon is the Director of Technical Operations for the Entertainment Identifier Registry Association. He has previously held senior positions with the Motion Picture Association of America, Technicolor, MovieLabs and Southbay Motion Picture Technologies. In addition to being an award-winning videographer, Mr Kroon is the author of numerous technical papers and several books, including ‘A/V A to Z’ and ‘3D A-to-Z’. Mr Kroon has a BS in computer science from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Auburn University, an MA in media and communications psychology from Touro University Worldwide and post-graduate certificates in film and television from UCLA Extension’s Entertainment Studies.

He has worked across the industry spectrum with special emphasis on intellectual property management, rights management, digital distribution, metadata governance and financial systems.
