This academic paper explores the significance of visualisations in the context of prospect identification and donor metrics, highlighting their potential to enhance philanthropic engagement. The paper also delves into various visualisation techniques, tools and best practices that can aid non-profit organisations in leveraging data visualisation for informed decision making and successful donor stewardship.

Author's Biography
Joseph Stabb Joe Stabb, PhD, APR, ACUE is an assistant professor of practice in the Tombras School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, teaching courses in public relations, advertising and data analytics. Stabb has worked with clients and companies in a variety of industries to utilise their traditional and digital resources to meet and exceed their revenue goals. He has experience in marketing communications, public relations, fundraising, business management and leadership development. Stabb is a graduate from Utica College with a bachelor's degree in public relations, a master of science degree from Keuka College in management and a doctoral degree in leadership and policy from Niagara University. Stabb also holds an advanced certificate in international trade and commerce (TE) from the World Trade Center Association, accreditation in public relations (APR) from the Universal Accreditation Board and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and an advanced certificate in effective college teaching (ACUE) from the Association of College and University Educators. Stabb believes in community service and currently serves on the board of directors for the Volunteer Chapter of the PRSA, the Great Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the PRSA Educator's Academy and the Appalachian Equality Chorus. He is also an active member of The Rotary Club of Knoxville and Shriners International. Socially, Joe stays active with family and friends, enjoys camping and travelling, attending the theatre or opera and cooking at home or eating at local diners.
Emily Marcason-Tolmie MA, MFA, has worked in prospect development for more than 15 years. She is an expert in prospect management, proactive and reactive research, analytical procedures and trend forecasting, while focused on successfully building robust prospect pipelines, predictive donor modelling and key fundraising metrics. Marcason-Tolmie regularly gives presentations about prospect research and data visualisation for Association of Professional Research for Advancement (APRA) and AFP chapters around the country, as well as for the DonorSearch Philanthropy Mastermind series. Dedicated to the field of prospect research and management, Marcason-Tolmie has served on the APRA-NY board for several years, including as the chapter's elected president throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It was under her leadership that the chapter grew into one of the most active in the nation. Marcason-Tolmie is a graduate of St. Michael's College with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications, as well as a master of arts in English and a master of fine arts in creative writing from Southern New Hampshire University. Additionally, she holds a certificate in online teaching from Southern New Hampshire University, where she also serves on the Alumni Board. Marcason-Tolmie graduated from the prestigious New York State Summer Writers Institute. She has published multiple short stories. She is a flash fiction contributing editor at Barren Magazine, an online literary journal. She currently writes for AmeriForce Media. She is also a member of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs and The International Women's Writing Guild.
