Abstract
This paper is a deep dive into the subject of the current author’s presentation, ‘De-cluttering your identity space’, delivered at Identity Day Norway in March 2023, and at the KuppingerCole European Identity and Cloud conference in May 2023, respectively. The paper focuses on identity and access management/identity governance and administration (IAM/IGA) and approaches the subject of IT systems in a broader context.

Author's Biography
Reidar J. Boldevin is currently transitioning into a role as the Cyber Security Consulting Manager for Columbus Norway where he is tasked with building a team of cyber security consultants. He comes from a role as an identity and security advisor within PwC Norway’s Cyber and Privacy division. Reidar’s experience spans two decades and while he has mainly worked as a consultant, he has also spent time in-house as an architect. While most of his work has been conducted in Norway, Reidar has been fortunate to travel across the world. He has worked in the US, throughout Europe and in the Middle East. He has also gained experience across multiple sectors. He has worked in the public sector, with multiple defence contractors and fintech, as well as consulting for companies in the retail industry, other tech companies, an airline and several banks and financial institutions. While a techie at heart, he more recently worked as a team lead and project manager. Reidar has gradually moved towards the business side of tech, with assignments more often placing him between the IT department and the business units of clients.
