Bernie Smith MCABE. C BUILD E. FCIOB started his career in construction as an apprentice bricklayer and quickly moved into management in his early 20s. Three years later he accepted the position of Regional Building Surveyor for a major high street electrical retailer, where he worked for a further five years.
