Abstract
As companies grow from start-ups to global enterprises, their information security organisations often need to undergo rapid transformations to meet the needs and scale of each business and its customers. It can be challenging for information security teams to clearly define and communicate those needs and obtain necessary executive support, funding and resources for their programmes. Establishing a transformation framework can help security teams communicate effectively and gain executive support and buy-in for information security objectives, thereby facilitating the prioritisation of objectives based on risks and capabilities, and the measurement of the programme’s ongoing effectiveness on a regular basis.

Author's Biography
Heather Ceylan is the Head of Security Standards, Compliance and Customer Assurance at Zoom. In this role, she oversees the ongoing development and implementation of Zoom’s information security programme, including Zoom’s global customer security assurance strategy. Heather has over a decade of experience leading security, privacy and risk programmes at global technology companies. Prior to her role at Zoom, Heather served as Vice President, Security, Privacy and Compliance at Collective Health and Director, Cybersecurity, Privacy and Risk at PwC. Heather holds a BSc in management information systems from Butler University.
Ariel Chavan is the Head of Security Product and Program Management at Zoom. In this role, he oversees key initiatives within the security team, and focuses on providing strategic counsel, creating inter-departmental relationships to build the success of the security organisation and driving overall internal planning and execution through leading a team of security product and programme managers. Ariel is an experienced security leader with a demonstrated history in the computer software and technology industry. Prior to Zoom, he held senior security roles at Microsoft and Salesforce and worked as a security consultant at Accenture. He holds a BSc degree in management information systems and a BSc degree in anthropology from Oregon State University.
