Gregory L. Schlegel Greg Schlegel is founder of the Supply Chain Risk Management Consortium, 28 companies which bring skills, solutions and methodologies that identify, assess, mitigate and manage supply chain risk. He has been a supply chain executive for several Fortune 100’s, has been a supply chain executive consultant for IBM, is executive-in-residence at Lehigh University teaching supply chain risk management, adjunct professor teaching enterprise risk management for Villanova University’s EMBA programme and VP/Principal at SherTrack LLC. Greg has presented papers on and has managed consulting engagements in supply chain management, risk management, predictive analytics, probabilistic modelling, lean/six sigma and theory of constraints. Greg was APICS’ 1997 International Society President. He is well published, a frequent speaker at conferences, seminars, webinars and dinner meetings. Greg and Robert Trent, of Lehigh University, have co-authored a new book, Supply Chain Risk Management: An Emerging Discipline. The SCRM Consortium, utilising its body of knowledge, is supporting a Certificate in SCRM from ASCM, a Certification in Supply Chain Resiliency (SC-R) from the Logistics Institute of Canada and is now offering Lehigh’s Certificate in Supply Chain Risk & Resiliency (SCR&R) upon completion of a new online SCR&R course. Greg speaks about 20 times per year at conferences and workshops and has authored over 120 articles in major supply chain magazines and journals.

Robert J. Trent Robert Trent is the supply chain management programme director and professor of supply chain management at Lehigh University. He holds a BS degree in materials logistics management from Michigan State University, an MBA degree from Wayne State University and a PhD in operations management from Michigan State University. Prior to entering academia, Robert worked for the Chrysler Corporation in the company’s aftermarket (Mopar) division. His industrial experience includes assignments in production scheduling, packaging engineering with responsibility for new part packaging set-up and the management of non-productive materials, distribution planning and operations management at the Boston regional distribution facility. He also worked on numerous special projects. Robert has provided consulting services, training and presentations to almost 60 corporations, government agencies and associations and has worked directly with dozens of other companies during research visits. Robert has authored/co-authored eight books and over 50 articles appearing in a range of publications. His most recent book Strategic Supply Management Revisited—Competing in an Era of Rapid Change and Disruption was published in 2018. He has also co-authored eight major research monographs published by CAPS Research and has made presentations at dozens of conferences and seminars. Robert has been awarded the MBA Core Curriculum Teacher of the Year, the MBA Elective Teacher of the Year and the MBA Excellence in Teaching Award. He has also received the Staub Award for Excellence in undergraduate teaching at Lehigh University. He has been awarded the Class of 1961 Professorship, Mercy Professorship and the Beckwith Professorship while at Lehigh University.
