Abstract
This paper explores the taxonomies of stable crypto-assets and discusses the standards associated with Ethereum tokens, including how these compare with certain features of the ISO 20022 industry standard. A brief exploration of simple selected credit transfer features shows that ERC standards are sufficiently flexible to be adapted to ISO 20022 requirements.

Author's Biography
Carlos Fernández Herraiz is a member of the faculty of the Instituto de Estudios Bursatiles (IEB) in Madrid. Dr Fernández is an expert in the functional aspects of blockchain for the financial sector and specialises in the monetary aspects of central bank digital currencies and other stable crypto-assets.
Íñigo García De Mata is an industrial and computer science engineer at the Grant Thornton Blockchain Lab, where his work focuses on the study and development of blockchain applications for the bank and payments sector. His expertise includes consensus mechanisms, security algorithms and zero-knowledge proofs as key concepts of blockchain technology.
