Abstract

This paper analyses the rise in Blockchain interest to solve a variety of challenges in the supply chain industry. It will first cover the opportunity for Blockchain to be a technological change agent for many companies who want to innovate to meet new consumer demands. Next, it will overview the critical elements of a successful Blockchain implementation, such as using global data standards to ensure systems interoperability and better quality and consistency of the data shared. Lastly, it will uncover more details on the specific, appropriate standards that support Blockchain deployment and support more efficient data sharing even without Blockchain applications.
