Online information, data workflows and the role of technology in residential valuation

Author's Biography

Richard Groom is a product marketing specialist with experience throughout the technology and property arena. Richard began his career at the Japanese copier giant Ricoh, developing document workflow software, before moving to Landmark Information, where he launched the UK's first widely adopted flood report for conveyancing professionals during his time managing the market leading Homecheck Professional® and Envirosearch® product suites. Richard worked extensively with Landmark Quest from 2010–14, where he delivered early desktop valuation products as well as the first tablet-based data capture solution for surveyors, before taking responsibility for workflow solutions aimed at UK mortgage lenders in his final years at Landmark. Richard progressed to Hometrack Data Analytics, working on new build valuation products for the large housebuilders, before a move to the RICS, where he now heads the team for data products aimed at supporting standards and professionalism throughout the surveying disciplines.
