Abstract
The selection of digital asset management technology is a strategic decision, yet is often treated tactically. Features and functions within software drive compatibility assessments rather than the software’s ability to help an organisation meet goals. This paper will look at the role of the content strategist in the selection of digital asset management technology and how a viewpoint driven by content expectations increases the opportunity for selecting a better product than a technology-driven process.
