Abstract
The move towards more energy-efficient buildings with the ultimate objective of zero carbon emissions has created a need for quantitative analyses and appraisal of the buildings’ performance. In the case of new buildings, the design needs to be assessed even at the concept stage. This paper sets out a strategy for carrying out the analyses and appraisal in a timely and cost-effective manner using dynamic simulation software.
