Abstract
Understanding users through usability is a critical part of making decisions about how best to make sure that users are connected to the content they need, even when tied into a particular digital asset management system. This paper offers guidelines for conducting a usability study, including a six-step how-to, as well as a case study of a test conducted on the architecture image collection user interface at the Texas Tech University Libraries.
