Paul Winstone is a chartered building surveyor with over 47 years’ experience. He is a director in the London office of Watts Group Ltd. Prior to joining Watts, Paul was employed by the Greater London Council in the Building Regulations Department and the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Lewisham repairing and refurbishing their housing stock, including large public estates, most with tower blocks. During his long career, Paul has been involved in the full range of professional building surveying services, including health and safety and Construction Design and Management (CDM)-related services. He specialises in the investigation and remediation of building defects and has considerable experience as an expert witness. Paul regularly speaks on these various topics, writes articles and has been the technical editor on various primary professional publications.
