Abstract
The author explains the process taken by the Prague Airport management to improve their airport perimeter security by way of employing perimeter intrusion detection systems based on high-tech perimeter surveillance radar (PSR) complemented by mid-range thermal cameras and near-fence sensors. He highlights different stages of the project as a possible lead to other airports.

Author's Biography
Stanislav Jonáš joined Prague Airport in 2004 after a long career in the Czech armed forces where he worked in the field of military intelligence and electronic warfare. He started as a security expert responsible for implementing civil aviation legislation in security as well as safety. Currently Stanislav is the manager of the security strategy and standards branch that designs the security environment at Prague Airport.
