McCarran International Airport: A case study in enhancing passenger processing efficiency

Abstract

Airports around the world are taking an increasingly active role in providing systems that enhance passenger processing efficiency. McCarran International, the world's11th busiest airport, is no exception. This paper details McCarran's evolution from an airport with almost no technological involvement with its passengers to one where technology touches nearly every passenger in multiple ways on a nonstop basis.
