Access control: The process of securing a transportation site

Abstract

If you don't think the aftermath of September 11th continues to have strong repercussions throughout the world, then you must not work in an airport. Security is still the word du jour — perhaps even more so as time goes on. Transportation venues are continuing to protect themselves from an increase in terrorist threats. Their primary concern, in addition to getting people where they need to go on time, is to create a safe, secure and protective travel environment for their passengers, tenants and employees. This paper shows how they are doing it.
