Abstract
This paper aims to provide and defend a view on the importance of carefully considering a company’s corporate culture when creating a compliance programme. The paper provides insights on statistical data of the current and future workforce composition. It analyses organisational studies and academic research which categorise the general characteristics of the ever-growing Millennial group. It identifies the elements that these employees look for in companies, helping corporations face the talent war that is currently being observed in markets across the world. The reader can expect to obtain practical tools, advice and best practices on how to analyse the corporate culture of its company and how it should drive/impact their compliance framework. It also gives practical tips on how to create an effective compliance programme that addresses the growing population of Millennials in their work force.

Author's Biography
Jessica Ramos Byrne is Senior Regulatory and Oversight Affairs Expert at EBA Clearing. She was Chief of Staff at SWIFT advising the CEO on business, legal and compliance strategy, having joined the company in 2011 and previously held legal and finance roles. Jessica started her career as an associate in 2006 focusing on corporate and finance. She is a member of Belgian Company Lawyers Bar, New York Bar, Honduran Bar and In-house Competition Lawyers Association (ICLA); holds an MBA, LL.M in corporate law, LL.M in competition law and economics. Jessica founded Mizbiz, an organisation aiming to connect, inspire and empower women in Belgium.
