Abstract
Air travel has become an integral part of people's lives and everyone, including individuals with disabilities, should have an equal opportunity to participate in air travel. There are regulations that require airport operators to ensure that activities, programmes and services offered to the travelling public are accessible to people with disabilities. In addition to meeting regulatory requirements, the accessibility features incorporated at an airport serve also to improve the overall traveller experience at the airport. The Federal Aviation Administration ensures that airport operators are aware of their responsibilities under law and are meeting their obligations.
