Biography

Julian Stodd is a researcher, writer, and both founder and Captain at Sea Salt Learning. His work explores the context of the Social Age, a time of radical connectivity and social transformation, and takes an evidence based approach to what this means for leadership, learning, our Organisational culture, and how... read moreOrganisations can change, to thrive. His work around Social Leadership, leading at the intersection of formal and social systems, has been influential in Organisations around the world, from Apple, to HSBC, and Novartis, and within various Militaries and Governments, as well as NGOs like The Red Cross, and World Health Organisation. He has 15 books to his name, including key research based pieces like ‘The Trust Guidebook’, and ‘The Community Builder Guidebook’, as well as broader texts like ‘The Social Leadership Handbook’, and ‘The Socially Dynamic Organisation - a new model of Organisational Design’, and has contributed key chapters to publications like the US Government published ‘Modernising Learning’ collection, as well as over 2,000 blog posts and articles. Julian acts as an advisor to the World Health Organisation on Learning Strategy and Innovation, as well as teaching on the University of Pennsylvania Doctoral Chief Learning Officer programme, and for the Berlin School of Creative Leadership. His most recent work explores Quiet Leadership: how we can lead with the smallest of actions, in each and every day.
