Tom Fleming is Emeritus Professor of Developmental Biology in Biological Sciences ant University of Southampton, UK. His current research focuses on environmental interactions around conception on egg/embryo developmental potential influencing long-term adult health within the context of Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD). These may comprise the effects of... read morematernal nutrition, immune status, or environmental factors associated with ART. Tom has published around 180 original research publications, was Editor-in-Chief of Reproduction (2008 - 2012), became an Honorary Fellow of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (2013), sits on several grant funding panels, has delivered many international plenary lectures, was awarded the Marshall Medal for outstanding contributions to reproduction (2013), and has just completed a four year tenure (2015-2019) as Treasurer of the Society for Reproduction and Fertility.
