Dr. Maloy obtained his BSc and PhD at the University of Glasgow and then did post-doctoral training with Profs. Rolf Zinkernagel and Hans Hengartner at the University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland, where he developed an interest in the dual role of CD4+ T cell subsets in protection and pathology during different... read moreviral infections. In 2008 he took up the post of Lecturer in Experimental Pathology at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford. The research interests of his lab focus on host-bacterial interactions in chronic intestinal pathology, with particular interest on the role of host innate immune receptors in intestinal homeostasis.
