Timothy Yen started his independent research program at the Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1990 where he has devoted his efforts to characterize the fundamental mechanisms that control chromosome segregation in human cells. Dr. Yen received his PhD in molecular biology and biochemistry at the University of California at Santa... read moreBarbara. He then trained as a postdoctoral fellow at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where he received a fellowship from the American Cancer Society. He was a Lucille P Markey Scholar and a Scholar of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Dr. Yen’s current area of interest is applying knowledge accumulated about mitosis to improve cancer treatment.
