Prof. Vladimir Hachinski - University of Western Ontario, Canada

Vladimir Hachinski is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Western Ontario. He received his MD and neurology qualifications from the University of Toronto and a DSc from the University of London, UK. He introduced the concept of “vascular cognitive impairment” and is interested in better ways of preventing and/or delaying stroke and cognitive impairment. He was the principal neurological investigator for several stroke prevention trials. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Stroke, the leading publication in the field.
