Dr. Vance Berger - National Cancer Institute, USA

Vance Berger holds degrees in statistics from Cornell University, Stanford University and Rutgers University. His professional career has included work in the pharmaceutical industry (Janssen Research Foundation, Theradex and consulting for Pfizer), in two centers of the Food and Drug Administration (Drugs and Biologics) and currently as a Mathematical Statistician for the National Cancer Institute. An active researcher, Dr. Berger recently wrote a book on the design and analysis of randomized clinical trials, has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed scientific articles and has presented numerous invited lectures on this topic. Dr. Berger is the recipient of the Gertrude Cox Award and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.
