Prof. Jillian Kril - CERA, Concord Repatriation General Hospital, University of Sydney, Australia

Jillian Kril is Associate Professor of Geriatric Medicine at The University of Sydney's Centre for Education and Research on Ageing. She is a research neuropathologist with interests in the clinicopathological correlations of brain ageing and dementia, and has published over 100 articles. Jillian and colleagues run a brain donor program where patients with degenerative disorders are followed longitudinally in order to provide standardised clinical assessments. She is also Chairperson of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Australian Brain Donor Programs and is President of the Ageing and Alzheimer Research Foundation and the Australian and New Zealand Society for Neuropathology. Throughout her research career she has used quantitative morphometry to gain a better understanding of the extent and severity of neurodegeneration. Jillian's current research is focused on the spectrum of pathology in frontotemporal dementia and other tauopathies.
