This series of talks will serve as a broad rather than deep introduction to the field of human genetics. Originally designed around the University College London undergraduate course of the same name, the series will be extended so as to accommodate topics present in any typical introductory undergraduate course as... read morewell as offering a solid base for advanced human genetic undergraduate courses. The series will also include subject areas very recently identified to be key to the field such as Copy Number Variation and Pharmacogenetics. All the talks will be of an introductory nature, assuming no or little previous experience in the field. The emphasis is on giving individuals the necessary core knowledge to further explore their more specialised interests.
