Biography

Henry Fessler received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Hartford Hospital. He came to Johns Hopkins for fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 1985, where he has remained ever since. He has conducted laboratory-... read moreand patient-based investigation in cardiopulmonary physiology and directed the Pulmonary Function Laboratory before pivoting his career to medical education. In that capacity, he led the Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program for 16 years, the Organ System Foundations of Medicine course for first and second year medical students, the Advanced Clerkship in Critical Care for senior medical students, and was Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education. His clinical interests are pulmonary function testing and critical care medicine.
