Biography

Dr. Thomas Nutman is Head of both the Helminth Immunology Section and the Clinical Parasitology Section of the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases at the National Institutes of Health. He graduated from Brown University, received his MD from the University of Cincinnati and did his residency in Internal Medicine at NYU/Bellevue.... read moreHe is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Immunology. He also holds a Diploma/Certificate in Tropical Medicine and Travelers' Health. Although Tom's major research interest in the host response to parasitic worms, he remains involved in studies of eosinophil biology and disorders associated with eosinophilia.
