Andrew Easton is Professor of Virology at the University of Warwick, UK. Having spent two years working in the pharmaceutical industry he joined the department at Warwick in 1983 and became Head of the Virology Group in 1998. Research in the laboratory focuses on the molecular biology of viruses which... read moreuse a single stranded negative sense RNA molecule as genome. Of particular interest are paramyxoviruses which are responsible for acute respiratory infections in their host. He has worked for many years on various aspects of the molecular biology of pneumoviruses, which include respiratory syncytial virus, pneumonia virus of mice and avian pneumovirus.
