Biography

Christopher is Professor of Organisational Studies and leader of the Balanced Enterprise Research Network at the University of Sydney Business School. His research focuses on the diffusion of management knowledge, consultancy and organisational change. This has included work on the role of management consultants as knowledge diffusion agents, the changing... read morenature of consultancy expertise and changes in the nature of consultancy and managerial careers. More recently he has published extensively on the issue of corporate sustainability and business responses to climate change. He is the author of over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles, numerous chapters and several books including The Management of Labour: A History of Australian Employers (Oxford University Press, 1995), Management as Consultancy: Neo-bureaucracy and the Consultant Manager (Cambridge University Press, 2015) and Climate Change, Capitalism and Corporations: Processes of Creative Self-destruction (Cambridge University Press, 2015).
